How Time Flies & Blogging

Okay, so first of all, I know what you’re thinking. Either:

  1. You have just discovered my blog and this is the first post you happen to see by me (hello by the way).
  2. You’ve read my last post and you’re re-checking the date of the day I posted it because I haven’t posted in absolutely forever now which I said I wouldn’t do.
  3. You think I’m lazy and I can’t be bothered to post.
  4. Or that I am a liar and I just said what I said in that post that for more attention.

And I would understand why you would think that. I mean, WHY would I bother posting this in the first place when half of the handful of people that read my blogs probably wouldn’t read this anyway it’s been too god-damn long.

Well, here it is. The reason for everything in the nutshell of this small section of writing. (Don’t get too excited, it’s nothing worth keeping you on the edge of your chair or biting your nails off, for)

The reason why I haven’t been blogging recently is simply because I have just been having a few down couple of months.

Yep.

That’s right.

That’s it.

No big grand ground-breaking, earth shattering news.

I have just, simply been feeling down.

I mean we all get them. Those times in our lives when we simply just aren’t feeling ourselves, or times when we seem to be subconsciously looking at things in a negative way.

But feeling down can go a long way and can affect you in a way without you actually realizing it.

After a month or so of not posting, I had always had this feeling at the back of my mind of knowing that I should post, as I said my previous blog I would.

However, the longer I left it, the more of a drag it became and every time I started to write a new post, I would re-read what I had typed and throw it away straight after because I just wasn’t happy with it.

Lately, I’ve even questioned that maybe blogging isn’t even one of my passions anymore. But today I was just reading some of my old blogs and the comments on them and I felt so uplifted and happy because it reminded me of what made me love blogging in the first place.

All I am trying to really say is, is just, thank you.

I may even be saying this to nobody right now but thank you for always being there at the other side of this screen and taking a moment of your day just to read any of my blogs because it means a helluva a lot.

Your time is just as precious as anyone’s and it’s so comforting and reassuring to know that someone else is almost there with me when I’m writing this because you are reading it to.

So even if I only ever post once a month, maybe even from two to three months, just know that I was never gone and I never lost any love or passion for doing this because this is one of the things I love most in the world.

I hope you all have a good day, and if it isn’t, I hope you can do something about it to make it better. ❤

    Hi Tess,
Hopefully you are feeling better now that you have written and posted this post. I will be honest with you, I used to read your blogs, but then I stopped writing for my blog all together. So i haven’t been on in forever myself (school, work etc 😦 )
I know how you feel though. I have those days all the time. All you have to do is breath and do something that you love in that moment 🙂
Hope to see you happy again 🙂
