Motivation

I wish I could say I’m a super productive person with a completely organised and productive life . But I’m not. Most of the time.

I don’t know if I posted about motivation before (I probably have) but I think that it’s something worth talking about so I’m gonna still write it even if I have.

So it was exam time recently. Across the country, people were studying and preparing and some of them relying on productivity and motivation. I don’t think I’ve ever said this before but for me, when I get motivated to do something, it completely transforms me and it’s like my brain has gone into “productive” mode. It’s a blessing for when I want to study or concentrate.

But I found a few helpful things along the way to help keep me motivated and for any of you out there who would find them also helpful:

  • Really thinking about why you want to succeed (for exams, etc) and about what will happen if you don’t.
  • If you’re preparing for something – plan weeks ahead so you know exactly what to do when you start and so you don’t have to scramble about, feeling crap because you have no clue where to begin.
  • Get outside. Whether that be for a walk around your local park or going to the supermarket, the great outdoors are a great way to feel motivated and productive.
  • Exercise.
  • Creating a productive environment. No one’s going to be able to study well in a pile of dirty laundry and piled up books and pieces of paper.

Wow – I think that’s the longest list of things I’ve ever put in a blog-post haha

These tips all helped me at some point and I hope that at least one of them can do the same for you!

Thanks guys, hope you found this post helpful in some way – if it did or if you have any thoughts on this topic, feel free to let me know down in the comments, I love reading them!

What motivates you? What are your thoughts & opinions on motivation?
