A New Start & A Thank You

So it feels like ages and ages since I last blogged – even though I said in previous blogs that I would do blogs on summer occasions, AND that I would be blogging even MORE.

Somehow, my heart wasn’t in it to blog just because I was going through a lot of stress then, and I just needed to take a break at that time.

So I went to France for a holiday on a canal for two weeks with my family, and I absolutely loved every second of it (I’ll definitely blog about the trip and add loads of pictures on it!). But it was really hard to blog while I was there and I found myself absorbed into doing other things because we were going to so many places.

Even though I know that only a handful of people read my blogs, and not even every blog I write, and that they might not even care that I haven’t been blogging in over a month, I thought that I would write this anyway so that I had some sort of explanation.

I love blogging. For these reasons;

  • It’s therapeutic when you have something on your mind and you just want to write it all out to help you calm down.
  • OTHER people can benefit from it by reading it and relating to it (for me, this makes it ten times better).
  • You learn things all the time by reading other people’s experiences.

Okay, so I’m sure that there’s loads of other things that I’ve missed, but if you want to add anything else to this list, please comment down below (also so that I know you’ve enjoyed it!)

And last, but by no means least… hopefully I’ll be blogging more often now.

If you got this far down the page – thank you for taking your time to read this, it means so much to me, even if it’s just you who will read this.

Hating Yourself

There was definitely a time where I truly hated something about myself, and it’s something that had always been my insecurity, which has also been something that always brought me down, every time I thought of it.

In my past, I was always told about how I should and should be and would I should and shouldn’t do, and there’s a point where, you have this great responsibility you have suddenly created which can only go so far, in terms of managing everything. Sometimes, the breaking point.IMAG0398

I’ve decided to blog about this mainly because, we all have these little things that we are unsure or sensitive about ourselves, and everybody has them. But it’s not brought up a lot so I am going to share some of my experiences with you.

In school, I always wore this light blue jumper, which I loved with all my heart because it was from a friend who had gone away, but people took it very differently.

They thought it looked cheap and tacky, just because it wasn’t over £70 and because it wasn’t the latest thing everybody was talking about. (Don’t get me wrong, though, there’s nothing wrong with clothing in fashion that’s nice and expensive.)

Usually in school, I wore the same thing pretty regularly just because it was easier, and I could just throw something on in less than 5 minutes.

However, there were quite a few judgemental people who did judge me for this, and they would think I was poor, and cheap. (Luckily, they never said anything really rude to my face).

But these things did question myself, and make me rethink things about my every day life. It made me rethink the things that made me, well, ME.

The point of this blog, is to let you know that every imperfection you have is something that makes up you and every little thing is important. Don’t let opinion’s drag you down. They are things of other people’s views, and just because they see you in a different way, doesn’t mean you have to think of yourself in the same way as them.

Please let me know if you like these types of blogs (everyday, life issues, e.t.c) in the comments, or just what you thought – I read all of them and it really means so much to me.

I will see you all in my next post!

P.S I did a very similar post called Being Yourself & Being Different on my blog , if you have not checked it out yet, which focuses on bullying and the more serious matters.

Fun ideas & tips for summer

Hello Everybody!

So recently, I have been very busy, and unfortunately not been able to blog in, what feels like, an incredibly long time. Recently in the UK, the weather has been up to a lot of crazy things (we had a thunder storm a few days ago!). But apart from that, for the lovely weather ahead –

I am going to give you some of my top tips, and little ideas for you to try out over the summer.

  1. First of all, I find that smoothies and milkshakes are absolutely perfect for a hot day (I will be doing a blog on this very soon) especially when you are on holiday, or anywhere hot and sunny, making you feel refreshed and cooled.imag0668.jpg
  2. The next thing which is more of a tip then an idea, is (if you have long hair) tie up your hair. I have definitely had experience with this, and most girls (or boys) with long hair, would of had the same experience of that stuffy, sticky, sweaty feeling at the back of your neck when your hair is down on a hot day.
  3. Next, try to spend as much of your time, NOT on your phone, or on screens. Doing this a lot myself, I realize it really takes up a lot of your time, and summer should be endured in a way that actually involves you living in the moment and enjoying it while it’s there!imag0643.jpg
  4. Next, any sort of outdoor sport, or going to the beach, if you’re not going away for the summer or even going for a picnic at the park, is a really nice way to spend it, because it gets you outside, which is always a good thing, and you can do it with your friends and/or family.

Hope you all have an amazing summer, and I will see you all very very soon!

P.S Please let me know what you thought and leave some of your top tips and ideas in the comments below!

Also, I have updated my Gallery page on the menu bar, so please check it out!

Summer Gallery & Small Announcement

I think it’s safe to say that summer is coming soon, so I thought I would let you know that I will be posting tons more, with things to do with summer like tutorials and smoothies, or things totally unrelated to summer like more personal things. But either way, summer related, or not, I hope you’ll enjoy reading them as much as i love blogging about them.
Thanks so much for reading, and liking, and commenting because even though this might seem small, it’s really much bigger then that, and it means so much to me.
Hope you all have an amazing summer,

Pressure/Letting Others Down

Hello everyone, so today I am going to be doing a blog on Pressure.
This time of year is usually extremely stressful with exams and also for teachers, so I figured that it would be a subject that many people could relate to.
Pressure to do well in school is common in places all around the world, as it determines your whole future.

Also other things like this are all linked back to pressure to do something and that fear of letting down others which is what I am most afraid of.
My advice if you’re feeling stressed, is to just do your best in whatever you are doing because that is all you can do.

Also, if you have exams, I am praying for you and I wish you all the best.
Thanks so much for reading, it means so much,
Tess xxx

Hi everyone!

So I haven’t blogged in a really long time, and there are lots of reasons for that. But I am going to try and blog more often from now, because I love doing it so much, and I really hope you are enjoying them to!

So today I am going to do a blog on Hope.

Now for me, I haven’t a clue what I want to work as when I’m older, and I think this is something that many people can relate to because the thing you choose to do when you do reach your adult stage, is going to stay with you for the rest of your life.

So I am going to give you some tips on contemplating what you want to do when you are older.

First of all, everyone has a passion or interest for something. For me, this is writing stories, blogging and vlogging. This might give you some insight on what you might want to do when you’re older.

The next tip is, try everything out. Try to take all the opportunities you get because then you might find something that you may enjoy.

The next tip is, work hard on any subject you are doing because then you have more options on what subjects you want to focus on.

These are probably my top three tips for this, but just so you know I am not an expert on any of this, and haven’t got much experience with it, but I hope you have gained something from this which I always try to achieve in my blogs.

As always, thank you so much for reading, and let me know what you thought in the comments!

What To Do When You Are Ill

Hello All, so as you may know, I haven’t posted in a really long time (maybe I’m just exaggerating) but this is because recently I had a really bad fever and cold (and an extremely bad cough which made aches, literally, all over my back which is something I am not exaggerating about, this seriously happened).

Because of that, I wasn’t able to upload as often as I’d like to (I post on my computer) and I didn’t have the energy or momentum. To any of you fellow bloggers who have been doing this whole blogging thing for a long time, you will know that you need inspiration, and energy and time and effort to write, and type and then post the blog (Oops I just said “and” about a billion times there!) Creating a good blog that people will actually want to read, and originality is really important in blogging, and it all takes a long process all in all.

So basically, to wrap it all up, that is why I haven’t been posting much recently.

And now to get to the actual blog.

“Ill” is a very general term, because it could mean you have all kinds of conditions, or it may just be the tiniest cold, or flu. But around this time of year, (even though Winter is coming to an end” it’s the time where people get all sorts of flu and colds, so that is what I am settled on blogging on today.

  1. The first thing for a cold or flu, is to have a really nice hot drink, like Hot Chocolate, Coffee, or my personal favourite for a cold, tea. I think tea is really good for this sort of thing because it calms you down, and helps you think clearer.
  2. When you have a cold, there’s not much you can do about it, you kind of just have to wait for it to go away. But having something like soup, or something gingery, really helps to clear your head, and if you have a blocked nose, it really helps that to go also.
  3. Also, a good distraction, like getting some homework done, or watching TV, or reading, really helps take your mind off it.

Hope you enjoyed reading this, and if you did, be sure to let me know what you think in the comments!

So I’m posting a little early, but when I thought of this idea, I knew it couldn’t wait and I just had to write it all out.

So haters, are, by the definition, someone who dislikes something or someone, with a passion. It can also refer to an account or something online. Haters online are seen as people who are mean, and unkind, because they disapprove of that person, or account. Sometimes, that “hater” happens to have that mean personality, and wants to be mean, other times, they are either jealous, or attention-seeking. And sometimes, it is just because they purely dislike that person for reasonable reasons.

But this is okay.

It is their opinion and we can’t change that entirely.

But it’s when they are intentionally trying to hurt that person, or other people, when it is NOT okay. People are allowed to have their own opinion, and input on things, but if it is meant to hurt that person, this is when you know that, that person is either jealous or attention seeking.

This blog is about not mistaking haters, for people who just have an input on saying why they dislike that thing or person for a reasonable reason, and people who are attention seeking and jealous, and also intentionally trying to hurt them.

Also, to you, the reader, if you see something online, which you disapprove of, or have a strong opinion about it, don’t be afraid to say it because as long as you’re not trying to hurt anyone, it’s an opinion, and that’s okay. It also might even help that person to understand something a little bit better, and act on it.

And finally, thank YOU for reading this, it truly means everything to me, and please let me know if this helped, or what you think of it , in the comments down below!

So today, I decided to blog about being positive.

Being positive, is basically meaning to see the better side of things in different scenarios. Although, you can’t always be positive, and I don’t think anybody CAN be positive all of the time, but it is always a good thing to be a positive person, but if you’re a negative person, I hope this brings out your “inner positivity”!

So everyone has negativity in them. It’s normal. It’s human. Everybody can see a down side of things, but today I am going to try to help you think of things in a better way.

Of course, before I start, if your pet goldfish or dog, or a relative has died, well, I don’t think that I can release all the negativity (release??) out of you, but I will try to cheer you up with this blog! (And I’m truly sorry for your loss).

So first up:

  1. Do something that you love doing, with people that you love, because when you’re doing.
  2. Next, I think is to try and be open-minded, and to calm you down, breathe into a paper-bag.
  3. Don’t be afraid to speak up for yourself, but respect other people’s opinions.

I think these three points are what really helps because they all help you be a bit more positive, which will hopefully give you a little more happiness in life! 🙂

A bit of a short post today, but it’s something to think about!

Thanks for reading, and I really hope you enjoyed it!

Being Confident with yourself & Being Different

So, I notice that in my blogs, they all are generally based around the same sort of theme, and also if you saw my “Being Yourself” and “Being Me” posts, then you probably know what I mean!

But today I am going to do something that is also linked to it, and that is Being confident in Yourself Being Different. This could mean, literally, anything. If it’s either what colour hair you have or the way you dress, or what your style of music is. But, I guess this is sort of a weird title because everyone, IS different, whether we like it or not, and everyone is allowed to do things that the enjoy no matter what they think of them.

Although, when you see this title, you have many ideas of what it means, and there are many different definitions for it. And then this links on to another big issue that occurs a lot.

And today, specifically, I am going to be doing this on bullying.

So bullying is a seriously massive world, and what it is, is basically if anyone does something to hurt you, or make you feel bad about yourself, but happening, CONSTANTLY, then, that is bullying.

You may not even know that it is of course if you have been, or are in, this, but the whole point of this, is to make you a little more confident about yourself because it’s something that should be taken seriously.

You shouldn’t be afraid to talk to someone about it just because you’re worried about what the bully could potentially do to you, but it’s the way to stop it, and if you conceal it, and try to bury it underneath you, you’ll be fighting a war that you won’t be able to win on your own. Of course, bullying isn’t a war, it’s a matter of trying to prevent it, or stop it going any further.

But what I am saying is, don’t be afraid, to talk to someone, and don’t feel bad about yourself because everyone in their life, will feel exactly the same at some point in life, or like me, several times. But that isn’t true. What it is, is someone’s opinion about you. And their opinion shouldn’t make you this way because it’s THEIR opinion. Think of your family and friends who love, trust, and accept you for who you are.

And this leads on to the next thing.

Bullying is split two ways, which is the bully themselves, and whoever they decide to bully. Of course, there has to be a reason for the bully to be hurting someone like this, I mean, bullying is horrendous, and it makes people do horrible things, and make them feel bad about themselves.

But it’s also the bully.

The bully may have had a bad upbringing or they may have family issues, friend issues, mental or physical disorders, or anything. I don’t think that the bully should get the whole blame for what they do. This is because of all those things that may have happened to them in personal experiences. And until we know what happened to them, we assume.

We assume that, that person is just bullying that person because they have a mean personality. Or that they were born like that. Maybe they were, but don’t you think that is that was the case, life would be very different right now?

I think that, the bully is sometimes, but not always, but maybe sometimes, misunderstood.

Thanks so much for reading it means so much to me, and knowing that it has maybe helped one person, is just so mind-blowing and incredible and I am very grateful for your support! And as usual, I’ll be happy to read any comments on what blogs to do, or just what you thought in the comments down below!

I will be posting blogs every Friday from now on
