Resolutions & Tips for 2017!

So I recently published a post called “New Year, New Obstacles,” (link will be at the bottom of the page) and as I think it’s just about early enough to blog about, I thought I would do another blog, similar to that one.

So in that post, I briefly mentioned resolutions – new year’s resolutions to be exact, but I didn’t delve in too deep because it was more like an introductory opening to the year and my blog.20160801_220211

However, today I decided to focus on that because resolutions and goals can be a very broad and open topic that anybody can talk about and relate to.

After hitting publish on that post, it suddenly made me realise that I hardly had any resolutions.

So here, I am officializing (I don’t know if that’s a word haha) a few of my new year’s resolutions for 2017:

  1. Be more active with my blog.
  2. Be more positive about things.
  3. Don’t leave everything to the last minute.
  4. Start reading more!

Okay, so I know these probably sound vague, and new year’s resolutions are typically specific goals or ideas that aren’t to do with emotions or mind-sets but I think that these are the main goals that I want to achieve.

So the next question is: how do you keep a resolution?

In the past, I would have probably forgotten whatever goals I had set myself for the new year by February (which is very bad of me, I know) but I feel like anybody who has had this problem, me included, could make this a goal in itself.

5. Keep a new year’s resolution.

If you are struggling with keeping a resolution, my advice is, try not to give up, but next time if you know you may struggle with a resolution, make another one that you know you won’t struggle as much at, and work your way up.

After you achieve something, you get better at it and no matter how hard or easy, a goal the same, you will benefit and you will be able to move on to more challenging ones.

Thank you so much for reading and let me know in the comments what one of your resolutions are – not matter how big or small. What are your goals for the future? Do you have any advice on keeping resolutions?

I would love to hear about them and reply!

Love you all lots,
